Liliane Höppe ist Doktorandin an der Japanologie der Universität Wien. Sie beschäftigt sich mit japanischer Literatur und fokussiert sich auf Werke, die Okinawa thematisieren. In ihrem Dissertationsprojekt untersucht sie neue Perspektiven auf den okinawanischen Identitätsdiskurs und den nihonjin-ron. Dabei interessieren sie besonders Prozesse der Identitätsbildung und die Wechselbeziehung zwischen Diskurs und Gegendiskurs.
